Become More Rooted in Christ This Year

By caryschmidt | January 1, 2012

Are you desiring to walk more faithfully and personally in the new year? This small idea might help…

Our theme at Lancaster Baptist this year is “Rooted in Christ.” One of the resources that we’re praying God will use to help families and friends is our daily devotional website and email. For the last couple of months we’ve planned a redesign and relaunch of this resource on January 1.

The Rooted in Christ daily devotional contains a short devotion from Pastor Paul Chappell, followed by an Old Testament scripture reading, a New Testament scripture reading, and a chapter of Proverbs each day. The scriptures are IN the email, so you could read through the entire Bible this year by simply reading the email!

There are some easy ways to be a part of the Rooted in Christ Daily Devotional:

First, you could subscribe via email at www.dailyintheword.com/today. You won’t receive junk email, but you will receive the daily devotional as a daily email.

Second, you could subscribe via RSS feed. If you don’t presently use RSS to read recurring content like blogs, it’s a great way to bring all the content of your choosing to one place on a regular basis.

Third, you could book mark www.dailyintheword.com/today in your browser.

Finally, I hope you’ll consider sharing this resource via Twitter, Facebook, or your own website or blog. Feel free to distribute, repost, announce, post in a  church bulletin, or otherwise spread the link to the Rooted in Christ Devotional. We pray that tens of thousands of God’s people around the world will be blessed by this daily reminder to walk with Jesus.

If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!
