Great post. A good reminder for us youth pastors. Another factor in it is teens just don't pay attention. I'm trying to teach them to pay attention with their eyes and ears. Something I just started doing is having my teens take a quiz following the lesson. It will have one question from the past lesson, and the rest from what they just heard. I then collect them, grade them, and pass them back out the next week to review. The best score gets a candy bar. It also helps reinforce the truth by reminding them of it the next week. I've been doing it for a few weeks and its already working.
