Great Grandmom heard these stories and reminded us of the infamous "liver dinner at the buffet" story...we had a good chuckle over that one as we are waiting to have Thanksgiving dinner.
Tell that to the kids!

Great story!
Being Gpa and guilty of this type of humor myself, I can remember many times when I had my turn saying “Nuh uh… be quiet…” with all of you. One of my worst moments, but one of the best for all of you was in the Lavabedn National Monument. We were going through all of the caves and each one had many signs of caution. Each of them started out with the words "Cave Safely" followed by various other cautions repeted at each cave.
We were at the entrance of Valentine Cave and I was video tapeing everyone as they went into the cave.
At the same time I was jokeingly spouting out all the cautions that we had seen so many times on the posted signs.
Well, it happened right in the middele of Cave Safely, that I triped on a rock and almost hit the ground all the time with the video still running.
Needless to say I took my turn in the middle of all the jabs that all of you dished out repeatedly. What could you do but laugh.

Though this happened years ago, all anyone has to say is Cave Safely and the whole family just looses it.
It is good when we can laugh at ourselves.

Love,
Dad ( Larry )

Great chuckle! Reminded us (as I read it to Mom) of many escapades with first, the three sons, Cary, Matt and Mark during the Lebanon Baptist years...such as the man changing the light in Shoney's...and we began to lose control with laughter...and another time in Po Folks when we had "Chork pops" and "sapple auce" and I asked you to pass me the "palt and sepper" etc. - this went on for some time and you guys laughed harder and harder as you kept winding me up and egging me on with laughter every time I came up with another one in a long string of this silliness (and by the way I kept a straight face for most of it until I could not contain myself any longer!

Your sharing this helped us relive those memories all over again...and more memories continue as we reflect on the Ted and Sean years where many more funny things happened.

Thanks again...and have a wonderful and funny Thanksgiving day and weekend with lots of laughter...we will share this with Great Granddad and Grandmom later today while we are enjoying the feast.
Much love, Dad (Lance) and Mom (Jo)
